Returns & Refund Policy

At Rolling Power, we want to ensure you are entirely satisfied with your purchase. Because we supply both brand-new and premium refurbished power solutions, we have outlined clear, distinct guidelines for both categories below.

This policy is fully compliant with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and international e-commerce best practices.

1. General Return Window & Cooling-Off Period

  • Change of Mind / Cancelled Orders: In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), you are entitled to a 7-day cooling-off period from the date your goods are delivered. You may return the product for a full refund, provided it is unused, in its original packaging, and in a resalable condition.
  • Return Shipping Costs: For “change of mind” returns, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods to our Midrand facility.

2. New Products Warranty & Returns

Every brand-new product purchased from Rolling Power is backed by our standard warranty.

  • Warranty Period: 6 Months from the date of purchase/delivery.
  • What is covered: Material manufacturing defects and component failures under normal, specified use.
  • What is not covered: Wear and tear, damage caused by power surges (including loadshedding damage where adequate surge protection was not used), lightning, water damage, or unauthorized modifications.
  • Remedy: If a new product develops a manufacturing fault within the 6-month period, we will inspect the item. If found defective, we will repair, replace, or refund the item in accordance with Section 56 of the CPA.

3. Refurbished Products Warranty & Returns

We take immense pride in our refurbishment process, ensuring every pre-owned unit is rigorously tested and certified for performance.

  • Warranty Period: 6 Months from the date of purchase/delivery.
  • What is covered: Internal component failures and operational defects existing at the time of sale or developing under normal usage.
  • What is not covered: Minor cosmetic imperfections (scratches or scuffs that do not affect performance), capacity degradation of batteries beyond normal expected use, and damage from external factors (surges, overloading, misuse).
  • Remedy: If a refurbished product develops a fault within the 6-month warranty period, we will first attempt to repair the unit or replace it with an equivalent refurbished model. If a repair or replacement is not viable, a full refund will be issued.

4. Damaged or Incorrect Items Upon Delivery

  • If your package arrives visibly damaged or the incorrect product was delivered, please notify us within 24 to 48 hours of receipt.
  • We will arrange for our courier to collect the item at no cost to you, and we will dispatch the correct/replacement item immediately upon verifying the return.

5. The Evaluation and Refund Process

To initiate a return, please contact our support team at [Insert Support Email, e.g., support@rollingpower.co.za].

  1. Inspection: All returned items (both new and refurbished) undergo a technical evaluation by our team to confirm the nature of the fault before a replacement or refund is processed. This evaluation typically takes 3–5 business days from receipt at our warehouse.
  2. Refund Method: Approved refunds will be processed via EFT to your bank account.
  3. Timeline: Once approved, please allow 5–7 business days for the funds to reflect in your account, depending on your banking institution.
